Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I 3D-print my entire map?

No. Master of Realms currently supports 3D export for single objects only. For large-scale output, use 2D exports to create printed battlemaps or posters.

What VTTs does UVTT work with?

The UVTT export format is widely supported, including by Foundry VTT and several other platforms. Be sure to configure the cell size in Master of Realms so that it matches your chosen VTT’s grid settings.

How big is one hex?

By default, one hex equals approximately 3 miles. You can adjust this scale in Map Settings to fit your campaign needs.

Does Master of Realms support Square Grid?

Yes. Square Grid support is available in preview. It is fully usable but still under active development, so expect rapid improvements and changes as it stabilizes.

Where are autosaves stored?

Autosaves are saved by default in your workspace’s Autosaves folder. If you have customized the location, check the path set under System Settings.

What platforms or VTTs is Master of Realms compatible with?

Master of Realms exports VTT-ready files and is widely used with Foundry VTT and Roll20, and should work with other VTTs that accept standard image/VTT assets, just match your grid size in Map Settings.

What export formats are available?

MOR supports high-resolution 2D exports (PNG/JPG/Digital) and 3D export for single objects (STL/3D-print formats). Use 2D exports for battlemaps/posters and VTTs. The official export guide covers steps for both 2D and 3D workflows.
