We’re beyond excited to share a peek behind the curtain at what we’ve been working on. Whether you’ve been with us since the early Kickstarter days or just joined our journey, this post is for you.
We’ve been heads-down making Master of Realms more powerful, more creative, and more fun. And with version 1.0 launching on Steam, we’re about to hit a major milestone, one that wouldn’t be possible without your amazing support.

August 2025: Finishing Touches Are Underway
Tile Creator & Theme Integration
This is one of the biggest features that you have been asking for and we know many of you are eagerly waiting for it.
By the end of August, you’ll be able to create your very own tiles using our brand-new Tile Creator. Whether you want to build your own custom forest tile, village scene or fully detailed city, you can design it all in just a few minutes.
Also Themed tiles are finally coming and we know you’ve been waiting for this for a long time.
With Theme Integration, you’ll be able to build truly diverse maps like never before, making your map feels more immersive. You'll be able to make diverse maps, desert, lava lands, modern cities, apocalypse ruins or cyberpunk environments
It’s all about giving you the freedom to tell bigger & bolder stories. Making every region of your world feel unique and connected.
Real Feedback, Real Testing
We’re deep into usability testing right now, fixing bugs, smoothing out edges, and polishing features based on community feedback. Our goal is to make sure everything feels intuitive, fast, and fun for you.
Fall 2025: Behind-the-Scenes Magic
Reward-Based Feature & Content Chunking
We’re optimizing how you receive assets and updates by grouping features into content "chunks." This makes downloading, updating, and managing your creations even more efficient.
Building Toward Launch
This phase is all about refining the engine, crushing bugs, and prepping our distribution pipelines so we can deliver a smooth and stable v1.0 experience on steam
November 2025: Steam Launch of Version 1.0!
Here it’s the moment we’ve all been working toward. Master of Realms 1.0 is officially coming to Steam this November! (Target) This will be our most complete, powerful, and polished version yet.
Hex Crafter Mode with Major Hex-Tile stretch goals included
You’ll have total creative control over terrain design with Hex Crafter. Stack tiles, blend terrains, build floating islands, or carve out subterranean lairs, all in beautiful modular hexes.
Tile Creator module finalized and fully integrated
Want custom props, themes, or textures? The full Tile Creator will let you design completely custom tiles to fit any campaign world, from dark gothic cities to whimsical fae realms.
Print-on-Demand services integrated (Beta)
We’re launching a Beta Print-on-Demand service so you can bring your digital creations into the real world. Print your maps, order tiles, and get ready for the ultimate tabletop upgrade.
Steam keys distributed to all eligible backers!
If you backed us on Kickstarter, your Steam key will arrive this November. You’ll be among the first to step into the official release of Master of Realms and we can’t wait to see what you’ll build.

This isn’t just a feature drop, it’s a major leap forward for everyone in our community. Master of Realms is becoming a fully customizable, hybrid map-making ecosystem that bridges the gap between digital tools and physical play.
